Event Bio Security: Due to the threat of invasive non-native species of plants and wildlife we have been advised by West Cumbria Rivers Trust and the National Trust that all participants MUST ensure that their wetsuits and other swim equipment have been thoroughly checked, cleaned and dried before visiting Buttermere. There will be an event bio security system in place where all participants will need to thoroughly rinse wetsuits/equipment with fresh water after the swim. This will be located in the farmyard adjacent to registration and explained at the event briefing.
